Blue Bengal Cats
The blue Bengal cat is softer on the eye than other Bengal colours as they are visually less dramatic. They are a powdery blue, with a background colour that can range from a steel blue to peach. Their blue markings will never turn black, and the contrast between their markings and background colour is less strong.
Blue Bengals can also be blue snows or blue silvers.
The eye colour of blue bengals can be green or gold, or even blue if it is a blue snow.
The gene that produces blue bengals is called the dilute gene (d). It is recessive which means that a kitten must inherit one copy of this gene from each parent to be blue (d/d).
